Niddertalbahn route and sessions ready for beta testing

installed the items into Niddertalbahn - TRS19 without any errors.

The Rheingold sessions are built with the TANE version of the route.

How did you "install them [i.e. the TANE sessions] into the TRS19 version" of the route?

You cannot edit simply point a TANE session at the TRS19 version of the route as it has sufficient differences where problems will occur.

Tony,

I bought the sessions because the sale page stated that they were TRS19 compatible as per the following:

y4m4jKY-6njzzAZa6BWnFCdCwqDXaAQgEw7N6JMHoc2lqxkYsrILrl0Dug1Ung5qJnxsVVd7a5Ts36nswfXF_6i9vqhWs0Eg2RQyxZcgBwEQepVk4S7qsvWF5D_akCazhvTFVKybBjsTriNd8QsFxaksYBYaPebLiecnmd1UpN7s_7OlE9-YbpQ0ELTHVgWllpun2llTvwRL0Lpp0C2JHHs8g

They appeared in my TRS 2019 Asset Download list so I downloaded them and, as they did not show in the Niddertalbahn - TRS19 sessions, I edited the config files so that they did. The kuid's of the sessions are as you listed but I have not received any errors or missing dependencies. All of this because they showed as being compatible.

I also had included the Cornish route which I note has disappeared from the sale page today - not unexpectedly!

The previous post is saying is that you cannot have a TANE data directory, point TRS19 to it, install TRS19 content and expect it to work. For DLC, you should not have to ever modify a config file to make it work and if you do so, it should not be expected to function 100%. Modding a config file to make it report in the game menu is not the same as that content being compatible. The compatibility text may be confusing when taken out of the intended context. The content is supported in both TANE\TRS19 but it is two data sets, i.e., two routes. One for TANE and one for TRS19. The "Download Asset" dialog should be filtering content based on the binary you're running. Other than that, there is no validation to prevent you from downloading TRS19 stuff into a TANE data folder, or vice versa. QA has submitted a task requesting this be added to the game.

Rheingold is a TANE DLC item that requires the TANE version if Niddertalbahn.
This was not available due to a sync error (leaving you wihtout hthe required route).
THis should now be available to download.
Please let us know if it appears and resolves the problem.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the reply. I am not worried about Niddertalbahn for TANE, as I already have that installed, and I rarely use TANE these days, but I was mainly interested in obtaining the models for use in other routes. As the items came into TRS19 without missing items or errors I am quite happy. I will not be waiting on Niddertalbahn – TRS19 to be fixed as I tend not to use the built-in sessions but generate my own and reported the situation simply to make you aware of the problem. The other reason I had for purchasing the Rheingold set is that I have a Märklin HO steam hauled set of the original Rheingold consist and wanted this more modern set for my own interest.
