Have you seen or visited the Miniatur Wunderland?

Imagine seeing this in Trainz! That would definitely be a Wonderland. :)

No, I havent, even though its in the town I live in.

More a fan of this layout in town: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf7sF9RDwb0 (till 9:03).
It follows a different approach in depicting a location that actually excisted and I prefer that over a show-layout.

But one can visit both without bad conscience, I guess. Along with the 100s of other nice things Hamburg has to offer.
:)

This may not be as elaborate as Minuatur Wonderland, but this is much closer to me. It's called Charlemagne's Kingdom, located in the German-themed town of Helen, Georgia. Yes that's right, the whole town is made to look like a German town has been transplanted from Germany to northern Georgia. I've been to it only once, but it was a long time ago.
Here's a link to the website:

And here's a homemade video of the layout:

I've seen a show called Tracks Ahead talk about this layout. The technology they use on their layout is both impressive and highly technology advanced

Yes I have visited Miniatur Wunderland and it was great. It's so large you almost need to visit twice. I like the airport they made.

Miniworld Rotterdam.

Their Dutch counterpart:

Railz Miniworld Rotterdam.
Not nearly as big as Wonderland, but still fascinating. Conveniently located at a 3 minute walk away from Rotterdam Central Station, the Netherlands (about half an hour by train from the national airport).

I live literary about 15 minutes walking from this great lay out. Also very recommendable when you visit Rotterdam :). They are making an England and Scotland expansion at the moment. :).

What was fascinating about the Russian giant one was that even wee things like chickens fluttered about, etc.

Google Streetview is now available for the Minature Wunderland!
