It has been a long tradition in Trainz for everyone, from staff to users to share in their knowledge of Trainz. Back in the day when many of the current experts were just starting, this mutual help was a big factor in getting everyone up to speed. It also contributed to the good feeling in the forums. 
For some reason, that tradition seems to be fading. When someone asks an expert for help in creating an object and is told by that expert that they will not be sharing their knowledge, the tradition takes a hit. When users ask for help in understanding how a feature works and they get cryptic or evasive answers, the tradition takes a hit.
Perhaps this is all a sign of the times and I'm seeing the past through rose tinted glasses, I hope not.
Meanwhile, I would like to give a shout-out to all those still who continue to help their fellow Trainzers, without singling anyone out so no one is left out. Without you (you know who you are) this would be a poorer and less fun place.
