Zero Patience

I'd rather hear what are PC and your Trainz symptoms, and figure out why you can't download.

There is another person that I am trying to help, and I wonder what is the problem, and how to fix it.

Must be something simple and basic, that we are overlooking.

There are no PC symptoms at the time and I have to gain permissions from administrator to reinstall the game and then I will post the trainz diagnostics and see if that will help.

Well it looks like I will have to work with what I got and make the best of it until i get a new and improved computer, particularly a gaming computer.

Well then why don't you fix it then.?! Why all of a sudden is the server not working?! Its not working in trs2004 trs2006 or ts2009!! It was working just fine last year but something went wrong and the internet is working fyi. So it not me

the server si working but there are morse users , on the d/s than slots,,, open, I think one would act better and nit get into trouble with the parents
so you can haev full control of teh computer....

Any one wants some ketchup those cries? Some cheese to go with the wine?:D
If there is a problem, ask politely and one gets polite response. I admit, when I get frustrated, I get very unpleasent. Something that some of use are trying to learn. Don't take it out on N3V or us. Just saying. that goes for anyone who reads this.

Can someone tell me the very best features my computer can have for trainz. Don't tell me recommended or required settings!! ! It's become clear that the computer we have isn't suitable for my games and doesn't even have a graphics card. So it seems to me I need a gaming computer.

If the problem is "you need a gaming computer" to get Trainz working properly then stop bad mouthing NV3 and blaming them for all your woes...

It's starting to really pi$$ some of us off. All this belly aching and moaning about you can't download anything or get Trainz working properly. The problem doesn't lie with NV3 or it's software, the problem lies with you (& your now obvious crap computer), that doesn't even have a graphic's card !!!

We've had to put up with at least 3 or 4 recent threads that you have started where you've bad mouthed NV3 "AND BLAMED THEM" for all your problems and woes... (Oh, and by the way, I see you didn't last 5 minutes over at RailWorks/RW's forum).

My suggestion; Get a gaming computer that is capable of running Trainz, then do a clean install, then patch to the latest patch/service pack. (then if you can afford it, a FCT). Once you have done that, if you're still having a problem/s, then let us know without the bad mouthing and I'm sure a lots of Trainzers would be only to happy to try and help.

In the mean time, please stop the bad mouthing, belly aching, & blaming everyone else for you self inflicted woes. Thanks...

Cheers, Mac...

Well said mate. Some people want now all the time, we all can get upset at times but no need for abuse. It wont get you any where. My thanks to all the help full people on trainz
All the best Jim

Maybe someone should contact his parents and mention what kind of behaviour he is showing to other people...take a time out junior..

Slow down relax go outside play another game. If i have problems I usually ask on the forms and the don't mess with the game untill I get ideas on what to do to help with the issues.

Sounds like you need a break from the internet anyways, and please don't call people clowns and things like that, shaneturner hes a genius on the forms here, no need to thank me there.

I also begin to wonder if the firewall software on his system (which is probably controlled by his parents as well) may be blocking Content Manager (or at least part of it)

Apart from the 'server full' issue, most issues relating to downloading content are usually related to a user's system (privileges, firewall, antivirus, graphics card etc)

Shane

EDIT: I had the 'username/password' issue happen across me a few minutes ago when using the FTP download method - I'm using IE though.

The newer versions of IE have "issues" with FTP. As the security settings were updated, they've done something that affects how FTP servers are accessed. You might want to try FireFox instead and see how that works.

I noticed this change a few years ago. The company I was working for used FTP for clients upload test files. This used to work fine for everyone on any platform, using any browser. Then changes happened and FTP no longer worked properly with IE. The alternative is to use a discrete third-party FTP client such as FileZilla, Cute FTP, etc.

Yep, spot on, ditto ditto ditto, end of discussion:D

I am still amazed that he has managed to get as far as he did with a computer with out a Graphics Card.

In theory it should just sit at the POSTS and beep 8 times, well thats what PC's without an on board video graphics adapter used to do when there was not and/or a faulty graphics card installed.:hehe:

Well, I'm pretty sure 'Zero Patience' is what his parents have with their 7 yr old. He most likely has build-in graphics and thinks there is no 'card' because of it..

It's good that you've come to accept that with the parental control, you'll have to live with what you've got for a while. But since it took you so long to come to such a simple conclusion, kicking and screaming along the way, I don't believe you deserve the title "Trainz Veteran," Kris.
