Your Generic So/NorCal Route - ATSF & SP - Wolett Subdivision - Belmont Pass

I don't think the Superliner meshes have been updated since about 2005, Peter's one's are just reskins

Did some messing around on the route this morning...

This SD40-2 looks so out of place in the desert...

Today's progress...

1.) Finished the Belmont area with the exception of the river.
2.) Changed the mountain textures.
3.) Better placement of trees on the mountains.
4.) Changed out a bridge.

All in all, I think this area is shaping up pretty well. I am most excited to see how the mountains are going to turn out when they are completely done.

Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. I traveled to Missouri over the weekend for a rafting trip, that was cancelled due to rain. On the plus side of things, I got to see family that I have not seen for quite a while, and also saw a lot of trains. :)

Should have more updates for you guys tomorrow.

Well, I didn't get as much done as I had hoped to...

Progress:

1.) Mileposts
2.) Defect Detectors *With Hotbox Detection And Notification!*
3.) Finished up Kayla, CA yard.

This should finish up the track work for the demo... That is, unless I want to add something in here and there...

Now, I should be cruising on the textures and scenery...

Onto the shots...

This is actually pretty cool... After I pass DMP 116.75, it detected and notified me of a hotbox on axles 7 and 8, which is the first car behind the locomotive. I threw my train into emergency, and now we have to wait for the car to be replaced.

Awesome job Blake, just awesome.:D
TJ

Thanks! I really appreciate the compliment!

On a side note, I have been playing around with the idea of using Mcguirel's Play (Insert Railroad Here) Radio Chatter sounds, and making it into a sound trigger instead of it being a driver command, which I figured out can't be played while the train is in motion.

This afternoon's work in a nutshell...

I started serious work on the town of Kayla, CA. I still have a LONG way to go on this area, and also the mountains in between Kayla and Belmont, CA.

-

I also forgot to mention there will be many Easter Eggs in this route...

-

I also discovered how great Arraial's content is!

-

On a side note, the CB Chatter project is under way... So that is also something else to look forward to.

Now onto the shots...

Not enough to keep the tires inflated. :hehe: Anyway that spot looks top-notch! Like one of Cali's many "1% neighborhoods", with swimming pools and luxury cars and stuff. May I ask who built those homes?
