Yard Switching Issue

I'm once again rebuilding my layout for my "Liberty Sub Interchange Yard", in TRAINZ 2006, and have hit a SNAG. The rail yard is several track, and I have no problem with most of getting the outbound trains to where they are headed.

However, there is one train that is being stubborn about getting coupled, and out of the yard.

I am attempting to use a SW-7 to pick up a consist of tank cars on a "Holding" siding. { outer track of two } The loco starts from three track over, and runs to the passing track near the siding. But when it gets past the switch, is reverses, and goes past the siding to the preceding signal, NOT into the siding, to couple the cars I'm trying to move.

I have changed the Track Mark assignments, and still can not get this engine into the proper siding. I end up "driving the loco into the siding, coupling, and departing the "yards", then I can get the train to follow the remaining instructions.

What am I missing here?

Hi zippo1,

It might be necessary to put some kind of signal (an invisible one could be used) behind the consist that is sitting in the siding you want to access. Trainz could be seeing the consist as a red signal. Worth a try?

Cheers
Russell.
