WTF Happened to my layout??????????

Hoping some of you more knowledgeable folks can shed some light on what I did to cause this (I assume it was my fault; it usually is). Traiz2022 running on Win 10, machine is well above spec, and have no issue with the program not running. Started it up today all of my elevation/terrain & texturing data is gone. You can see by the first screenshot that the program knows it's supposed to be there, but somehow it's missing. You can see some of the texture near the "horizon" (red circle - these were snow covered mountains yesterday, when everything worked just fine). The only thing I have done is delete a couple of superfluous sessions (something I have done in the past with no ill effect).

It's not the end of the world as this was more of a "skills building" layout, but I would like to know what happened. Also interesting is the fact that aerial view the middle of the layout all has a sort of water pattern, but when you zoom in, it's like the rest. Zero elevation and only default texture.

For some reason my images don't always show, so links if that's the case: http://www.johnsphotography.ca/hold/Temp3/Trainz_Two.jpg

There's a couple of thoughts floating around here.

1) You've got multiple saves and opened the wrong. I've done this before and went into instant panic!

2) You've been editing the route in a session editor instead of the route editor.

Skipping No. 1, which is obvious, No. 2 is less so.

Go into your session, probably called default and edit that. I have a gut feeling you have more than one default session as well. When you open up the right default session, merge your session layer into your route layer, save and exit then open the route in the route-editor instead.

Thanks - it looks like you're right, I was editing sessions vice routes. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to recover the elevation data, so I think I'll just start over, and put it down to a lesson learned!

I'm sorry to hear that. It happens and lesson learned indeed. I found out the hard way myself a few times.
