My work around to fix the feature of edit session not saving and changes to locos and driver rules is to do what you need in TRS19 and transfer it to TRS22 ( if the route was originally done in earlier version.)
Many times the transfer from 19 to 22 will break the session rules. Until the next update or 'Trainz next' I'll stick with 19. Less features but more reliable.
My biggest peeve is consists forming queues and going off shift.
