Wonky Tutorial for 2010 Engineers Edition

Hi, I just received Trainz 2010 Engineers Edition as a gift and am looking forward to learning how to use it. Unfortunately the tutorial section has a problem. After the train makes its way up the hill in Tutorial 4 it simply disappears(did Scotty beam it up?). I thought the tutorial may have been over but the achievement section says I have not completed it, and it is not ticked as finished in tutorial listing. Is there an upgrade I need to download? Or is this a dreaded "known issue" or something else? It really looks like my version of the tutorial was never finished. Thanks.

That's what happens in a tutorial, it teaches you how to operate things ... after the tutorial is done, and you succeeded ... it is time to graduate to a different tutorial, or route, and run it

Hi rrstringer,

I would recommend patching TS2010 if you haven't done so already.

The patches can be found here: http://www.auran.com/servicepacks/

Your current build can be found on the bottom-right of the Launcher. As an example, if your current build is 42203, then you would download and install the 42203 to 44088 patch and then the 44088 to 49933 one.

Some useful patching tips:

Disable your antivirus software for the patch duration and disconnect your internet connection.
Start the patch before you go to bed and let it run overnight.
Do NOT cancel a patch even if it looks as if it has stalled.

Thanks Kieran, I will give that a go. BTW, I recently took the Canadian across Canada. Almost everyone I met on the train was from Australia! It was a good trip.
