yes, but my machine (cpu 1.61 ghz) cant handle 2010, or can it? i plan on using 2009
TRS2006 only runs on one core, you have two. TS2010 can use both. TRS2006 can use a maximum of 2 gigs of memory, TS2010 under a 64 bit operating system can make use of 4 gigs of memory.
TS2010 uses speedtree to render trees, TS2009 doesn't have speedtree. TS2010 puts more work on to the GPU which isn't used so heavily in TRS2006.
There have been a fair number of updates to take advantage of TS2010 including ones to get rid of errors so basically you expect longer viewing distances and better frame rates in TS2010 native mode than TRS2006.
