Hello people, just installed Windows 7 on my HP comp. No dramas loading Trainz and running Driver, Surveyor and when I attempted to open the download station it does not seem to work. any ideas?
I have made myself administrator as I had to in Vista but no DLS
Do you mean no Download Station (DLS), or no Content manager (CMP)? DLS is a website, which you can access without making use of the Content manager, and if it is indeed the DLS that is at issue, then the first question is, do you have a viable internet connection in your WIN 7 installation, that is, can you get to other websites, and can you get to the DLS via your browser at http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php ?
I'm guessing that when you write DLS, though, you really mean the content manager, and for that, my best suggestion is "open a ticket with help desk".
technically speaking mjolnir; the DLS is the database where all the assets are located. which you can access via the DLS website (link at top of page) or via CMP/2.
georailz; what mj was going after was that in order to help you we need more information. mainly: what version of Trainz are you using? what error messages you are getting, what steps you have tried to fix the problem already, etc.
@Rougespear7mm: I have been using windows 7 since the beta release, now on the RC, and trainz has run perfectly in all versions with openGL and DirectX drivers.
@georailz: Do you mean the DLS, as in the website that was constructed for TRS2004, or CMP2, that is accessed through the Tainz launcher?
