i have a IBM (lenovo) Thinkpad T60 laptop which has

Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
Intel Core 2 Duo 2500 Proccy
etc

how many FPS would i get?

PS- does paintshed work on Vista (it doesnt work on TRS 2006)

PPS- i already bought TRS 2009, just curious.

Bit of a silly question really, somewhere between 1 and 200 fps depending on what is on the screen. Forget PaintShed, it's not included in TS2009 and you are far better off reskinning with the GIMP or something similar.

PAINTSHED is not inclused?:( where did it go? i loved it ever since i have had trainz.
btw i do have Photoshop cS3. how DO i paint the trainz with it?

also i have a 1400 x 1050 resolution screen, and run trainz also at the same res

EDIT- how many FPS could i get as a MAX? saying i have 2 trains running by a city at the same time

If you are using a laptop with an Intel graphics chip then you are looking at about 20FPS.

As for reskinning, you may want to clone the item before you start to avoid accidents. Open the item up for editing in explorer in CMP, find the skin file, open it in photoshop (or whatever), and change any details you want. Just make sure that you save it under the same name in the same place with the same file format. Then recommit the asset and check it in the railyard.

Screenshot of that particular area? My Acer Aspire 9920 struggles on heavily scened areas, (Screenshot pending - search for the specs, its on the forums!) whereas the Asus eeePC 901 struggles on reasonably scened areas on LOW settings. A max of about 2-5fps.

YMMV. The trouble with Trainz, because of its flexiblity, it is hard to tell really.
