Will Trainz 2009 have Paint shed

I am testing Trainz 2009 beta 1 and have noticed that there is no paint shed for 09.
Will Trainz 2009 have a paint shed?:(
 
No, it is considered to be obsolete by Auran. The paintshed assets are included so items made with Paintshed in earlier versions will work in TS2009.

I just installed beta 1 and loaded my rolling stock. Would you explain why if paintshed is included in TS2009, all my payware are loading correctly except all my default paintshed rolling stock ??? So to me it doesn't work and now I'm missing lot of rolling stock.

Is there a solution ???

Paintshed items will work...

:cool: You will get an error on the .pm files, otherwise PS items will work.

All the undecorated assets are present in CMPv2.

Once you open the full World Builder Edition, PS will find out about it as always.

Check to see if PS offers this option to save in TS2009.

All of the PS default assets in Railyard are present in TS2009 with apparently no changes.

Here is a link for PaintShed for TRS2004.

There is an urban legend going around that previous assets won't work in '09. They will work, however the ability to have better content is now possible because the standards are raised.

Backyard.

I loaded railyard and apart the 40' boxcars showing undecorated, all other PS assets are not showing at all and report an error with .pm files. Is there a way to correct them?

I have a bit of problem to follow your analysis in your previous post. In TRS 2006 we were installing PS, but in TS 2009 we can't so the default PS assets can't load.

:cool: ...they all are made using examples from the web so they are accurate to the label & text.

CMv2.0 & CCP '09 really raise hell about them however they not only show, they respond with properties & load as you see.

My point is, you can import practically anything into TS2009 as previously, however content that uses texture.texture binary files won't work...

.pm files just aggravate CMv2.0 & the 'faulty content' flag will never go away for that reason.

I changed out the bogeys for custom assets & wish to add couplers with hoses also.

PaintShed is a 78mb utility & to add it to TS2009 really would be redundant...you can find it on the web several places anyway.

Don't get me wrong, TS2009 is way above TRS2006 because of what was learned by Trainz Classics & the input from over 1000 BETA testers.

The level of quality & new scripting makes TS2009 a lean mean machine that brings a new realization of the hear-to-fore limitless Power of Auran Jet.

The direction of higher levels of quality for the future has well been set. It is however, not necessary to restrict ourselves to previous Legacy versions.

What we will need now, is for all our 3rd Party Content Creators to edit their content where needed to perform the way they intended, for TS2009 including editing in CCP, adding screenshots where needed, at least replacing binary textures with texture maps, updating script files, etc.

One or even one nation of people can't do it all!

And, I say again, if our Content Creation Community will attempt to make new content for all to add to Paint Shed, it's highly possible that Paint Shed may be developed on Further...maybe layering texture maps, etc...?

That Paint Shed & items have not been added is not Auran's fault & that it has not changed, is because no one has done this...!​
