I think that many others can and have tested the software on THEIR systems and not run into this issue while you are testing their software on YOUR system and reporting crashing. Some have reported similar issues due to bad memory. Don't forget there is more memory than what is on your motherboard, there is also video memory, CPU cache as well as hard disk cache. Could be other causes too but unless it can be reproduced on other systems, it will be hard to diagnose at a distance.
