Why is it so?

G'Day All,

Over the last couple of days I have been downloading content from the DLS into this computer, a little while ago today I transferred these items from this notebook to my main computer via a 16gb flash drive by copying userdata onto the flash drive the into userdata in the trainz folder on my main machine. :o

The problem now is EVERYTHING I have been doing (creating new routes or modifying older ones) has vanished:confused:

I also notice that when I perform this escapade, it doesn't matter whether I download a couple of meg or several hundred meg the number of records remains the same (76k+ IIRC).

Can anyone suggest how I can stop me loosing my work....oh yes, it WAS saved??????

Thanks

P

I assume you have Trainz on your notebook. The safe way to transfer content is to make a CDP of the assets you want to transfer and then move that via your thumbdrive to your main machine where you unpack into CM. Nothing gets lost this way.

You should try an Extended Database Repair. Just because the data is there doesn't mean the program can find it; odds are you still have the old database index which is pointing to stuff that isn't there anymore, and not pointing to new things you've copied. That would explain why the number of items in your database has remained unchanged.
