Why I love Trainz!

There's been a bit of negatism about TS2010 recently so I thought I'd add something a bit more positive.

In the past I haven't often run a session at night (Trainz night time that is) but while building a route I wanted to see what lighting came on at a station. Part of my route includes a steel girder framed bridge common in Australia and as my consist, with its lights on, passed over the bridge each individual girder reflected the locomotive light exactly as it would in real life. That just blew me away. How cool is that:cool:

I haven't checked out the lights at night time yet, but the shadows are a big improvement in TS2010 compared to the other versions, with them casting onto tracks and buildings.

So it does look like they've finally got under the hood of the engine and given us something we've been asking for for a long time.

In fact, I'm finding a lot of nice little touches that have been missing in previous versions, and so far, nothing major that ruins the fun for me.

But I'm not going to say well done to Auran because that will be tempting fate. ;)

Smiley.
