It's very impressive for a first beta.![]()
I have a few Questions.
1.Does it form a separate install from your trainz install or do I have to backup everything I have?
2.If one can't be done, can I install the patch to a second install?
I really don't want to try mutiplayer until I can be insured nothing can happen to my install with all my custom content.
An interesting question would be... while the Beta is free to play (of course), what about full release?
My guess would be you have to purchase a FCT to be able to use multiplayer or something like that... Let's speculate!![]()
2.If one can't be done, can I install the patch to a second install?
So I've read all of the threads that I can find about this multiplayer thing but cannot find anything like the issue I am having.
When I go to patch from version 44088 to the MP patch I get a log like this...
"Ready to install from local patch file.
Current version: 44088.
Checking for available disk space for patching.
Unpacking patch file...
Patching from 44088 to 45467...
Failed to create backup of file C:\Program Files (x86)\Auran\TS20102\bin\TrainzUtil.exe.pbk
Failed to apply the patch: 44088_to_45467
Patching aborted."
Any ideas?

I would love to, but my .JA extractor fails very time :'(
In fact, that is what I am doing right now. I have to say, I am a little less perturbed over the compatibility crap now that I have a separate multiplayer build, but I just hope that they keep it when the full version comes out. (Compatibility mode that is.)
