yes good questionWhat are the "useless" features that N3V are adding?
My list of useless features include keyboard shortcut support for TTTE. I bet you didn't know that had been added.

I had the opportunity to try Multiplayer Surveyor in the early days. It was interesting working on one side of a route while others were driving or sometimes working together landscaping and decorating the route. Editing and testing the route this way felt natural because testing and driving were nothing more than driving without needing to switch modes as we do now. A short time after this test, some of this technology showed up later on as UDS which we've grown to love or hate. One users "useless feature" is another's "most used feature".
I am currently not using TLR. A "useless feature" because I do not use it but I can see it has great potential and could become a "most used feature" those who do not want to deal with session rules and driver commands. Likewise, I have never used Multiplayer (Surveyor and the new Driver versions) - another "useless feature" but I am sure that there are others who find Muliplayer to be "most used feature".
It is always easy to view the world through your own blinkers.
I used to play multiplayer sessions on TS12 a lot when I was in my mid-teens about 14-16 years ago, and it was fun to interact with other users through the digital landscape. These days, I'm not into online multiplayer as I was all those years ago (a main reason why I was and never will be interested in other games that solely rely on online multiplayer functionality, such as Overwatch and Fortnite). If I were to have a Trainz Plus subscription, it would be to only check out the HD Terrain feature (which sounds cool, though I heard that it can bloat up route file sizes), though as you mentioned, some folks may find Multiplayer Surveyor to be a "most used feature."One users "useless feature" is another's "most used feature".

I suppose everyone is curious to see how the grass sways in the wind while sitting in the cab of a train speeding along at 160 km/h.Do you really think that Sim is better than Trainz?? Look at all the crappy Billboard bushes and fuzzy, 2D buildings. Not for me. I'll take Trainz anyday over that.

Since your signature tells us that you have lost interest in trainz, do us a favour and leave us poor misguided plebs alone. Don't let the door hit your butt on the way out, it closes fast!I suppose everyone is curious to see how the grass sways in the wind while sitting in the cab of a train speeding along at 160 km/h.
Also i don't give a *uck about multiplayer .
Hi Wreeder
Does OpenRails offer any other view other than from the cab?
The Camera System provides all viewpoint control in the Open Rails simulation, managing how the player observes the virtual railway environment. This system implements multiple camera types (cab, tracking, free-roam, passenger, etc.) with user-controlled rotation, panning, and zooming. It handles camera attachment to train cars, field-of-view calculations, frustum culling for rendering optimization, and sound listener positioning for 3D audio.
