Which sidewalk for new route?

Hey all! new route is going well and i would expect an update in about a week. I am trying to make this as realistic as possible and have this small detail I've been stressing. Should i use the sidewalk pictured on the left and replace all the old ones or continue using the old ones (right). The old ones are certainly wider but the new ones look more realistic. What do you guys say would look better?

I really like the sidewalks I saw in a thread by ElStoko. See the screenshots in post #98

Consider this:

Many sidewalks (such as Yarnish ones) are fairly thick, so they are not covered by those driveways and roads that intersect the road along which you are placing the sidewalk.

I like Sidewalk 6 Foot Concrete (also Sidewalk 8 Foot Concrete) which are thin enough to go under driveways and streets, although you could argue that Sidewalk 6 Foot Concrete is too wide for residential areas. Because these driveways are thin, you don't get the effect of the surface of the sidewalk being higher than the surface of the street, which is more realistic. But on the other hand, you don't want a long sidewalk to cover intersecting driveways and streets.

So, it's a tradeoff - thin versus thick. I chose thin because overall it looks better to me.

does anyone know any websites where i could find sidewalks and other stuff (Roads, curbs, etc.)? I only know Trainz Forge, Approach Medium, and The Switchback

are you considering uploading your route to the DLS, if so, I'd avoid using third party site ,material unless absolutely necessary as many potential users simply wont go and look for assets on these sites.
