Problem resolved: After I tried several settings, I decided to do amimdist 1 And the wheels speed up! I thought it was the other way around, the higher the number the more speed. So I adjusted it to 2.2 and that seems to give the more realistic effect. now I notice that the speed of wheels is not dependent of the speed of the loco, but rather a combination of this and the setting of the throttle, so if the throttle is set higher, the speed of the loco is still slow but the wheels turn faster. I think it is the way it has been always, but you notice it more when there are gears coupled to wheels, Another note on this particular loco: There are two models, one start with SBB 6/8, the other Be 6/8, both are brown. The green model name start with Auran KroKodile. I have all of them working quite reasonably now. There was another model, more refined that this ones that featured separated bodies for front, center and middle so in curves was quite nice the articulation (I remember it was Croc I, Croc II and III) but these don't work in our later versions of Trainz. Just in case anyone cares, the next time you pass by Lucerne in Switzerland, go to the Transportation museum (Worth every penny), and look for one of these Krocodiles in exhibition indoors where you can touch it, then you can go under (there is a pit) to see it from under the carriage!, and if you are lucky, a drop of oil will fall in your head (still drips). Interesting yes? So, Thank you all for the help.
