Whats up with the DLS???

The DLS is working. Have you reset your account by going to Profile on this page and reentering your password?

If you do not have a First Class Ticket (FCT) you may struggle, as there is limited access to the basic servers, but more and more users attempting to get access.
 
Actually, as you are running TRS2006, a FCT is required to access the DLS (either that, or you can buy and register a later version).

I bought a FCT because it wasn't working for me at all, either on the black pages or in 2010 CM. Now, I'm able to download via FTP on the black pages but the CM still says it is full. That means downloading everything manually like I did for 2004 until the CM is fixed.

In addition to that, you will probably have to go into your profile and change your password(you can use the same one), then clear out the Download Helper panel list in Content Manager before the FCT will take effect in Content Manager.

I'm having trouble with DLS aswell, I have soo many question marks supposing the files are not in DLS, but the site of where I downloaded these routes both say it should be in DLS, I even downloaded all the files I needed that are outside DLS...:(
 
What percentage of FCT users are still unable to download ?

What percentage of Non-FCT users are still unable to download ?

What percentage of all users are not getting updates at all ?

TRS2006 does not update Trainz Asset Database on my one PC with a new reinstall of Trainz ...

But on a several month old installation on another PC, TRS2006 does Update the Trainz Asset Database ... very strange.

I have tried all the Profile/UN & PW reset techniques, assts.tdx assets.bku, tricks, and jumped through all the hoops, with all the techniques ever mentioned in all the multiple threads.

It seems that the Newly Installed security settings enacted at the Auran servers, have thrown a huge monkey wrench into the once well oiled meshing gears of Trainz ... all so as to prevent unauthorized persons from hacking into Trainz, and prevent them playing and accessing Trainz for free.

But instead all registered persons are either not able to download, or update.

This is a hugely successful and effective marketing feature ... a product that don't work !

If it ain't broke ... don't try to fix it ... now that they messed with it ... it is busted !

Just relating my experience so far as a user with FCT. I have never had a problem with downloading any assets shown on the DLS. I have not been refused with the Server is Full denial yet. Get my 350 to 375K download speed also.

This is patently not true for a start. I'm having no problems and in fact I've never had any problems. There again I'm not trying to use 5 year old software that wasn't all that great when it was new.

Then why all the complaints from users with supported versons of the new super fantastic TS 09/10 ... Hmmmmm ?

My old installation of TRS2006 works flawlessly, as I am getting updates ... but on a new installation of TRS2006, Auran servers are blocking updates.

And this new fangled 10 version ... WoW ... thousands of complaints about the P.O.S.

I have 2009, and have been unable to download anything since 18 December. I was thinking about buying 2010, but have changed my mind, since I won't be able to download any of the new 2009/2010 content unless I also buy an FCT.

And there's absolutely no incentive for Auran to fix the problem.

For those of you who have been able to cinsistantly download from the free server, congratulations, but it ain't happening here.

your wrong, i have 10 and my fct expired a month ago and i still have acess to d/l stuff for 10
 
No problems here. I'm getting just about 400kb/sec, not as fast as capable because I've seen my wife's system up near 900kb/sec.

I DO have a FCT though so that may be a factor.
