there are several assets, of things i like and want, (the feve 2400 meter gauge dmu, for example) not on dls, nor, appearantly, available as cdp's, that i've been pointed at, went to where they were, downloaded their zip'd packages, only to find out on unzipping that rather then cdp's they contain .rar's. do these actually import into trs 2006 in some manor, or are they completely useless? (to trainz that is. am i correct in guessing they were made for msts or some other?) cmp doesn't seem to recognize this format, unless there's something i need to do with it i don't yet know about in order for it to.

.RAR's are another type of compressed file. It is likely that the RAR's will contain either the CDP's you want or will have other formats that can be imported by CMP. To open the file do a google search for a program called Winrar

Hope that helps.
