What railroads are in you hometown

Looking through all 17 pages I was sure that I had posted here. Well that turned out be NOT!. So I'm going to with two answers.
My home town of Jacksonville, Florida hosts the following rail roads.
CSX Transportation
Florida East Coast Railway
Amtrak
Norfolk Southern

Now here in Columbia,SC we don't much traffic even though we have two yards very close to each other. The Cayce yard is owned by CSX Transportation. While the Andrews Yard is owned by Norfolk Southern.
Then around 3 and 4 in the morning we have the north and south bound Silver Meteor (91 and 92 or 8191 and 8292 for us old timers). Now if your ever in the Columbia the best times to rail fan are early morning and mid evening (around 6pm). Also a word of advice to the traveler. Stay out of the NS Andrews yard. Columbia Police has authority to arrest. While this has not happened to me, I have heard of it happening.
Now for the in your face action, go the CSX Cayce yard. These guys are very friendly and you can watch trains on the North and South end of the yard. I have been know to show up at Cayce at 8pm and not leave till around 3am. The yard see's run through coal trains will rear end helpers, solid auto rack trains destined for Dixiana a short distance away, and trains coming from the Carolina Eastman Plant. You'll know this train by the covered hoppers with the ETCX reporting marks.

I live in Colorado and im right neat the Moffat route. We get BNSF,UP,SP,and the California Zephyr. It runs from Colorado all the way to California

Umm where I am we've got BNSF and UP, long time ago we had AMTRAK Up north we got the GCRX, we've got the Metro Light Rail thing too and I think there's a few shortlines here and there.

In New Jersey we have a lot of different railroad, like CSX and new Jersey Transit. But some local favorites are Amtrak(NEC), NJT, and CSX.

In my home town I had the Sacramento Northern railroad run through my home town until the late 80's. The SN is my favorite railroad. I live two blocks from the SN trackfill which is now a bike path.

I live in Reno & Virginia City area of Nevada. We have the main line of the UP through the center of town. The V&T Railroad has a tourist line running from Virginia City to the State Capital of Carson City, NV.

Well where I am we have CSX, the line used to be the NYC four track main line from Albany to Rochester. Also we have the Livona Avon and Lakeville, the Rochester Southern, and the Falls Railroad near by.

You name it we got it. KC has numerous large yards for all the big boys. UP, BNSF, KCS, & NS. You also commonly see CSX, ICE, FEC, MNA, KCT, MOC, SKOL, and AM.

The BNSF's Argentine yard is the second largest yard for any railroad in the U.S. Come to KC to get your railfan on !

I live in a small town in Minnesota, where not much passes through. Alls we usually see is DM&E and IC&E pass through with a couple of mixed freight trains, CP and FURX are also common. Up North, between Minneapolis and Duluth, I usually see CN or BNSF. UP runs right through Rochester, once saw an SD90MAC. CSX and NS also run too, even though they don't own trackage rights, occasionally they run on the BNSF/UP Trackage Rights. Amtrak runs here too. Soo Line and few others settle right here in MN as well.

The town my college is in is on Norfolk Southern's Main Line and I see constant NS trains as well as Amtrak trains.

I only see NJ transit in my town and the rail's history is this from newest to oldest" transit,conrail and thats all i know.
But once i saw a MOW, And a NS SD40 bringing materials for a new small bridge.
