What is wrong with using TRS2006 for surveyor ... and importing a route into 10, 12 ?

I prefer TRS2006 in surveyor for tracklaying ... as it is so simplistic for tracklaying.

I choose to use surveyor when laying track on a route in TRS2006, as it has no layers, nor any other complexities.

And I later on import the TRS2006 route into TS 10, 12.

Does this make any sence ... or am I totally schtoopid' !

OMG ... I think ... I LOVE ... Twainz ... I weely' weely' do doodid' it !

G'day, I say if it works and gives the results you want go for it. I use TRS06 to bring older routes which TS10 will not accept up to TS10 by opening them in 06 surveyor then adding a tree and saving, I then make a cdp of the new route and install in TS10 and works quite well.

What's wrong,

hmm, I could say my meanings, but in reality, nothing wrong using the tool one feel is doing the job one wants to do.

For me, I love the 5m grid, the layers, so for me, any version not giving me those two essentials, I would not use, but I would not say it is wrong to use the older versions, I would only say they don't give me the tools needed that I need. :)
