What has happened to the DLS?

See the chart in the link.

Not seeing the dreaded .... too many connections on the free DLS.

Has everyone DL'ed everything?

Is there no new content to DL?

Is everyone taking a break from Trainz?

Or, is everything working well with the addition of a new server?

Just wondering.....

Have fun,

I think a lot of the earlier downloaders are now on vacation so they're not here tying up the DLS connections. :)

The DLS is working really good for me. Downloads are moving fast without a FCT, about 8-20 kbps, and it automatically downloads on the first click.

I am not trying to knock anyone here but what is the point of this post? If it is in relation to having better d/load speed and "downloadability" now, well, it stands to reason with a new server installed now, obviously some of the d/load issues most of us recently had (even with a FCT) got fixed.

If it is in relation to less complaints/posts about d/load issues here in the forum, don't worry, we will be complaining loud and long in future again should DLS issues arise again.

Just wait and see :p.

Hi VB,

The point of the post is.... if you look back a couple days (July 4, 5, 6)....you will see that there were ...Too Many Connections on the Free Server.

What changed in the last 2 days?

Regards,

Great news for me, as I haven't been able to purchase a FCT yet. Downloads are moving along nice and steady, and they're downloading with one click instead of ten like usual.

Ron ,

I have noticed the same lack of " DLS is a piece of ( enter explicit ) " !
It is very apparent on the Forum that something good must be happening ?
Kudos to the Crew , hopefully things are being repaired !

Regards,

I noticed that yes the DLS is acting wonderful, and I'll send many thank yous again to Zec and crew for solving the problem, but overall my neighborhood is really quiet since after July 4th, and best of all my commute has actually become a breeze - 30 minutes for 35 miles instead of 1-1/2 to 2 hours for the same distance.

Again I attribute all this faster everything with people on vacation away from computers and therefore away from the DLS. The big test will be September after summer vacations and Labor Day holiday in the US. That's when all goes hokey in the hen house with networks. :P

Irregardless of the reasons for better access, I do want to applaud Auran for working on the issue at all. If it were me, you would all go to bed without any gruel, until you ponied up for an FCT!:hehe:
