He retired.
Look for a tribute article in this month's Trainz Magazine.
Ed is an extraordinary guy, and a great friend.
I had the honor of being the last to Private Message him.
Ed wasn't just the face of this forum, he was the most noted member we have had, and ever will have.
I can bable on for hours about how great he is!
Look for TM tommorrow or so, I included a very special piece by Deeelare in it.

It's snowy here.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I though he just took a break due to an eye surgery because his eye's were deterirating. It is indeed sad if he is gone for good, he brought a great light to the forums.

I actually named an Expressway after him on one of my layouts.
Really shows his impact.
Some liked Ed, others didn't, but in the end, I doubt anybody disrespected him.

Ed , IMHO , was possibly a grumpy , hateful , troll king , but in between those few posts that contained more humor then hate , were thousands of posts he spent the time to write to help and inform newbies and oldies alike on every aspect of the Trainz sim program !
And I also laughed , Ed would never admit to such a thing --- ,DLR
Ed spent too many hours on the Forum and enjoyed it too much , to simply walk away ? Be careful what we post , I believe he is gathering ammunition against us under an alias ---

You are right though, why would he simply leave perhaps the posting days are the only thing that is truly over?
Deeelare, I totally agree with that first post of yours, perhaps not the last part under certain circumstances, but he was always there for people, heck, I remember when he helped me once or twice.
