What error checking will TANE be using.

NSWGR_46Class

Just call my Captain Rude
Will TANE be using TS12 SP1 error checking (3.7). The problem as I see it is that trainz build 3.7 sees a texture being the same as an error were 3.5 just gives you are warning.

So an item that is fine in TS12 and 3.5 may not be so in TANE if it uses 3.7 error checking ???

I have noticeed in some cleaned up items that this warning has just been ignored.

Or do I have it all wrong ?

Good Morning NSWGR_46class
Trainz: A New Era will be using it's own error checking. It will be based upon Trainz Simulator Mac 2 (which is slightly newer than TS12 SP1-HF4), which is currently in use on the DLS anyway... However, if we find it necessary, we will make further improvements to the error checking, as we've always done. The best thing to do is to double check that you have created your asset correctly.

In regards to the texture error, please tell us what the actual error is that you are seeing. Otherwise we really can't give any answers...

We do have some errors that relate specifically to the trainz-build number, especially where it relates to content creation practices that worked previously (But were not recommended), but can now cause issues in some situations. We still permit them for earlier build numbers, but new content simply cannot use that method/configuration/etc.

Regards

At present you can, using the laws of precepents and post what ever you like where you like or the law of previous use could also be invoked.
Added to thids the link you posted was for TANE plus kickstarter and since my question was about error checking and had nothing to do with kickstarted and took a punt on putting it in the general area, myself if I had to put it anywhere would have put it in the contnet creation area but got an answer so not ot worried.

Need to ask in the correct place http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?107028-Ask-your-questions-about-Trainz-A-New-Era-here

Fairly obvious it needs to be TS12 SP1 HF4 error checking though.
