What did you do today?

That's So Trainz Forum
I did nothing... so far. I might get my permit to drive. God help us all now, I'm on the roads! (muhahaha)

Anyone go and see some trains, car, planes, bikes, etc...?

Cheers,
Josh

I went to the doctors to have a small something or other removed from my face and found out its skin cancer and will have to be removed in the local hospital since its a bit too deep to do in his office.

Hey Ben, I have been there already and had a tumour cut out of my right cheek. Quite surprising since I dont smoke, we dont get too much sun here in UK and I was only 43 at the time! It was uncomfortable having it done but healed quickly and I have had no porblems since. Look on the bright side...its best to get it done before it does any harm

Andy

Today, I did something which isn't really transport related, if I exclude the drive to and from work. I endulged in several hours of photsynthes. Yeah!

Failure is not an option, but dinner sides are.

I failed my driving test. Stop signs like to stay hidden from me and school zones like to be inforced(25 in a 20mph zone:( ). Nothing like driving 70 miles to take the test and another 70 back in disgrace. I am not the only one.

Hi Andy:

My daughter has had several removed without problems so I'm not really woried. He chopped on it twice today but it just kept getting deeper and deeper. Six months ago it wasn't skin cancer but would have turned into that in time. He froze it off but apparently he didn't get it all and by now it has changed into skin cancer. Do it as an outpatient thing as its not excatly open heart surgery. Got a big bandage on it natch but it doesn't hurt (and if it does I have a big bottle of burbon, lol). What I dislike is I can't take a shower tonight before going to bed and I hate going to bed without a nice hot shower first.

Ben

So, not the nicest of days, Ben? I'm sorry for your misfortune, and I hope for the best of luck!

Thad09,
My friend's mother had an incident where she was in the back seat during her friend's driving test. Her friend ended up slamming a utility pole. lol The instructor turned to her and said, "You are NOT getting your license." Let's hope things go over better for me.

Cheers,
Joshua

Not the best of days then Ben still better to get it done sooner than later. hopefully then there shouldn't be any further problem.

Day started out ok, here plan was do a bit on Trainz and as it's been quite hot here for a change, then attack the garden....

So made some narrow roads and dirt tracks suitable for my North Wales NG route, planted a few in surveyor, went into driver for a quick test, five minutes down the line Trainz crashed, odd I thought? Don't get crashes here.

So rebooted PC, or rather tried to, sizzling noise, odd smell and the RCD kicked in and killed the electric, conveniently crashing number 2 PC and setting off the burglar alarm........... Why must they design them so they go off when the power fails?
On investigation, Power Supply had gone dead short across the mains, not supposed to do that! So after phone call to supplier packaged up one 2 month old 650 watt not cheap power supply for return. Oddly enough they didn't quibble about replacing, different manufacturer as they are not supplying that model any longer, wonder why?
Dropped in a spare 650 watt I had lying around, the one I was using before I rebuilt the PC, after hunting through a ton and a half of junk to find it! and all working again, luckily seems to be no damage to the motherboard etc and I've left the AI playing in Trainz for a couple of hours and it's working OK. Not impressed with the failed power supply though which was red hot when I initially checked it. Coolermaster if anyone's wondering.
Never got round to the garden................:hehe:

I hope everything turns out okay for you Ben, I know it must be a bit of apprehension for you.

Provided my wonderful company and a meal to a delightful young woman and in the evening back to building my present Trainz route.

Hey, I got nervous and forgot where the highbeams were (Don't laugh), and The Guy did not even mention there was a four way stop, without any stop signs, and told me I do not deserve a license, so give up. I am taking my test at a different DMV as soon as I get my Car back (Squeaking wheel). Well For today, I spent the day thinking good thoughts for Clarence Clemons (Sax player for the E street band) he had a stroke. I also spent the day learning "Down by the river" and "Ohio", Great Neil Young songs. Hey Euphod, Love the banner!

I'm about to get run out of town on a...dare i say it...rail, but I've spent the day playing Microsoft Flight Sim X! Finally got it installed and it's like finding an old friend.

now, back to strafing things.:hehe:

Wow, that's no good. I've always been looking around for a good PSU to upgrade my computer, but I suppose I'll stay away from Coolermaster!

On June 2nd I had my end of year school picnic, and two KC-135's flew over our school. It was AWESOME! Although, I think I was the only kid there actually interested in them.

Today I'm going over to the local dog-n-sudz joint -slurp a few (probably more then a few, lol) have a foot long chili dog and watch the trains go by (Florida East Coast RR) tracks are right across the street. 2 or 3 times a year the local (engine only) will stop and one of the crew will come over and get dogs-n-sodas. Drives the kidz (and me) nuts, lol (cuz all we want to do is talk his ear off).

Ben

Ben, you talk in riddles (at least to this pasty white Jock). A dog-n-sudz joint is not, I'm guessing, a Mexican-cuisine loving, canine beauty parlour?
