What are you Trainz Must Haves?

The only thing we British MUST HAVE in the future is a company, or, organisation, such as, Jointed Rail, or, RRMods, who would dedicate their time to building top quality British diesel locomotives, as of the 8/9 years I've been playing this game, we've only ever had Eldavo's small quantity and Railwaves, and they went by the board several years ago, and their small variety of offerings are now showing their age. I would be very happy to pay for a Western, Deltic, Class 31, 37, 40, 45/46, 47, 50, a Class 08 shunter even, built to the same very high standards that our American trainzy friends have been dishing out for several years now, that's why I spend more time playing North American routes than anywhere else, it's a huge pity that nobody has had the forethought to get something organised, with all of the vast technical and computer software knowledge on this little island of ours who play Trainz must we wait several more years before something happens, I'll probably be dead and buried before it does.
I obviously acknowledge the vast amount of freeware content that has been created over the years for the Brits, for which we are eternally grateful, but, I came back to play Trainz after Failworks thinking that someone might offer diesel locos to us on a regular basis, it keeps our interest in the game heightened when we have something to look forward to playing with, if the Americans can do it, why can't we?

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

There are quite a few very good UK routes that could benefit from such treatment - to the standard of Gwladys Ddu or Ashburton to Windrush

Lataxe[/QUOTE]

Being the creator of Gwladys Ddu, it is always nice to read positive comments especially given the obscene amount of time invested (and still being invested) in this route! My sincere thanks.

If you are familiar with chileanllama's Route (from long ago) Rosworth Vale, you may be interested to know that I am about 90% complete in giving it a really major overhaul. Applying what I have learned from creating Gwladys Ddu, Rivendell etc. etc., I think that anybody who wants a route with a distinct North of England (LNER) flavour will like it.

Again, thanks for you kind comments. Colin.

My Trainz must haves is to have accurst UK content, hence UKBL, and very accurate to pinpoint detail Thomas and Friends Content, hence SI3D. Both cover needs that make Trainz "Special".

TANE! I can't wait for it to come out in December. I have pre-ordered so should get it then.

A modern version of ....the narrow gauge logging route. it was very small but my all time favorite. I just can't think of the name right now. Getting old.

The UP Overland route covered from North Platte, NE to Ogden, UT even if it is covered in multiple routes... I would also have that include UP's mega Bailey Yard in North Platte for extra-long switching activities. If somebody makes that, I'll be covered for about 20 years or so, because it is going to take me a long time to get tired of those lines....... :)

For SuperspeedMaglev, I do not know if you have tried Gary Price's website, I know it is payware but he has loads of LMS and GWR steam content. Really nice work, I got some Jubilees, Patriots, Scots and tanks from him years ago for TS06, he updated them for TS09 and I updated them myself for TS12. His prices are very reasonable... have a look:

For Driver_Col I agree with you re Rosworth Vale I updated it as well, I think it has a moors look about it for LMS as well as LNER, great route, easily extendable and the loops are redundant since portals came along. In the end though I chopped off quite a lot and extended it using my work with a few bits and pieces added from other routes. One of these days I may think it is "finished". :-)

Dave

1. A model of Southern 2-8-0 #630
2. A model of Tennessee Valley (Railroad Museum) 2-8-0 #610
3. A good variety of Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum passenger cars, particularly the sleeper car Clover Colony, dining car Traveler's Fare, and observation car Eden Isle.
4. Tennessee Valley GP7L's #1824 & 1829
5. Tennessee Valley RSX-1 #8669 (Their (Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's) website says 8669 is a RSD-1, but it's the export version of the RSD-1, the RSX-1, evidenced by the cabs sides angled inward for tighter loading gauges)
6. Southern 2-8-0 #154
All I can think of that has not been made for Trainz yet. But there may be some more.

I can not think of any more TVRM equipment that is needed except for maybe the Jim Crow 906, the old 1000 and SOU 722. But definitely 630 and the 98 (office car "Eden Isle").

oh! and some nice OCS cars for that Club Car CSX f40PH from JR...

Probably my worst reskin, but I've at least got a semi-prototypical Travelers Fare, plus another semi-prototypical Ex-Seaboard #6604. Don't know what happened to the font, but something's wrong with it.

I would like to see more of the sd40/45 series to fill in the gaps. sd40-2 are nice but don't forget the others too.
