Hey everyone! hope you all are doin good. i'm currently working on a project it was from model railroaders magazine called the Thomas subdivision. I've been sitting on my arse recently and was like "there really isn't alot of Western Maryland routes" other than jrfalcos route that's a few million years old. so i've been conjuring a little something from the layout plan section and really i really hope this turns out very well. I'm an amateur and this is my first layout so go a bit easy lol. Thank you!

starting off little detail now. not really the best with track laying and just getting start on the bridge with a cool little dude taking a photo of the "action" in the yard. anybody have any good refrences for stations and bridges?

This is more like a model railroad. I'm more interested in a recreation of the present tourist operations out of Elkins and Cass. Jrfolco's route is to scale, mileages seem to be accurate but it's set in the 50's or so when more track was in place, and some modifications would need to be done to represent the tourist era. There are some Cass Scenic routes on the DLS and third party sites, but apart from perhaps the main route to Bald Knob, the other parts on some of the routes are inaccurate like the line from Cass to Durbin is built in the wrong direction on the third party route, with Durbin oriented in the wrong direction and close to Spruce, it should be northeast of Cass.

You are absolutely correct good sir! buttttt I’ll have to be the bearer of bad news to tell ya that this is a model recreation within the Trainz model railroad thread!
