Hi all.

I know this has been asked alot but there never is a proper answer.

Ok i have The WSR add on and used it in trainz 06 however ive now moved on to 2009 and 2010, unistalled 06 and binned it as it was sooo scratched due to accidently dropping it :o( . So obvious question is how if possible do i getthe Add on content into trainz 2009 PLEASE.

You're Refering to "Train Driver" by Just Trains correct?
Here is the work around I have used with TRS2010 and TRS12 (I don't own TRS2009).

1. In your TRS2009 folder make a copy of "trainz.exe" and rename it to "trs2006.exe". This will fool the installer into thinking you are installing into a copy of TRS2006.

2. Insert the DVD

3. DON'T run the automatic setup. If Windows gives you the option to "Open folder to view files in Windows Explorer" do so, if instead the automatic setup starts, exit it.

4. Navigate in Windows Explorer to (CD/DVD drive letter):\data\trs2006 and double click on setup.exe.

5. The installer for the TRS2006 version of WSR will start.

6. After clicking "next" a message will appear saying that
"Setup was unable to locate a valid installation of Trainz Railway Simulator from the Windows Registry.
This Product requires Trainz Railway Simulator in order to function."

7. Click "Ok" and you will then be given the option of what folder to install it into. Then click "browse" to navigate to your TRS2009 folder and click "Ok".

8. Click "next" and it will extract six .CDP files into your TRS2009 folder.

9. Afterwards, A message and progress bar will appear saying that it is registering the files with Trainz. However, despite Task manager showing two instances of "trainzutil.exe" running, the installer appears to hang and not actually actually accomplish this.

10. Open Task Manager and end both instances of "setup.exe" in the "Processes" tab. The installer will just hang otherwise in my experience.

11. Go back to your TRS2009 folder and you should find the six .CDP files still there. You can install them as you would any other .CDP files.

There are some issues in TRS2010, such as the terrain spilling over the track in places. Also, it will need to be run in Compatability mode unless you repair several assets. There is also an alpha issue with at least one asset (a chain link fence), I've not tried yet to fix that.

Hopefully this will work for you!
