Wellcars and Instantload

I was wondering if there was a way to remove a commodity from the list of commodities that a certain piece of rolling stock can carry. For example, a train of 53ft wellcars (specifically, JR and Socalwb909 wellcars) would only instantload various flavors of 53ft containers. Thank you in advance for your help.

by changing what the stock can carry yes. i have stated many times, instant load is not for this type of loading where you can choose what goes in which car. it is simply for making a quick and instant load for either a randomly generated train or for testing purposes. if you wish to have precise control over them you can do one of two things.

1. load them in surveyor with whatever you wish.
2. clone them and take out every other possible product except the one you want to load and then use instantload.

Can't you remove commodities in surveyor, or rather when creating/editing a session? (and add them too)

Could you detail how to do this instant load? Sounds like a way to load them up faster instead of manually one at a time. Thanks in advance.

Instant load is a driver command that can be added to a schedule to instantly load rolling stock - be aware though that unexpected results can happen especially for rolling stock that accept more than one commodity.

You want the rule "instant load 12" kuuid 2:45324:555017:4 , I use it all the time. Insert it into the schedule wherever you want.

It'll (instant load 12) only load 1 set of goods randomly from the allowed products, unless you use it twice.

gbethel,
The standard instant load command loads (I think) the first product in the assets queue which is why your only getting 53ft containers. Use "instant load 12" for random loads.

If you are doing containers it's best to combine several repeated IL together as it will take a while to load a long train of empty wells, some cars will load only the top load, hence the repeated command.

You could, except that in this case the single "container" commodity is actually an assortment of containers that are randomly selected. In order for this to work I'd assume one needs to clone the commodity and remove all but the desired container model(s).

Let me clarify: The scenario you describe is what I am aiming for. What is currently happening to me is the following:
Instantload + Wellcars = 2x 20ft containers on bottom, 1x 40ft container on top =/= desired results
Instantload_12 + Wellcars = cornucopia of randomness

What I'm looking for is more of a way to rearrange the order in which the commodities are queued up so I can move all 53s to the top. Apologies for not clarifying that earlier.

You need two loading tracks, you can use ProtaLars to load the bottom 20ft footers, set the middle of your consist over the PL track wait for whatever loading time you edited in surveyor, some Trainz builds need you to uncouple the locomotive before the cars will load. Next move the cars over to the 53ft track and repeat the process. You should have bottom 20 footers and top 53 footers.

yes that is how i designed it. if you want to load specifics, see my reply above.

Try this (clone first just in case). The TTX maxi car for eg, in the load section it has 53ft (container) _bottom, remove the lines 53 ft_bottom to the line before 45 ft bottom. }. That should stop them loading.
If you only want 20 footers on the bottom remove all references apart from the 20ft_bottom load sequence.
