Weird InstantLoad Derailment Bug

So, this is a strange issue I have run into where I have long trains with DPU's (Distributed Power Units) drive to a trackmark, wait, then use the InstantLoad command by norfolksouthern37 <kuid2:45324:555017:8>. After that command is issued, train cars near the DPU's always derail. This issue doesn't happen with shorter trains, though. I have attached a video link to show what I mean.

EDIT: I tried this same scenario, but without the DPU's and it worked properly. So, for some reason, having DPU's really messes with the Instant Load command

It works fine if the train hasn't moved before, but if I have the train move beforehand, it causes this. Maybe it has something to do with coupler slack or something...

Strange, it works just fine when using the "Drive Via Trackmark" command and not the "Drive to" command. It must be momentum that is causing the derailments
EDIT: I tried the "Drive Via" command trick with the same consist multiple times to try to get consistent results and it seems to work sometimes, and other times not.

The main reason this is a problem for me is because I want to have portals emit these large trains and I want to find a solution to this aside from just removing the mid-dpu's

I never use portals and TBH I don't even know how. I have about 50 consists running all at the same time in my Alma Valley Route (extended) on a very long main 1 and main 2 figure 888 (figure that out!). Some of my consists are quite long and on some of them I use Instantload, but I've never had a consist derail like you say you have. Good luck solving your problem.

When I emit trains from a portal, I use the Wait... command set to 20 seconds. This gives Trainz a chance to load up the commands before moving on. Following the Wait... 20 seconds, is Instant Load Random, to randomly fill the freight cars or passenger coaches, and the instant load locos to fill them up with sand and fuel before proceeding.

I tried this schedule setup, and it seems to work! I will have to do some more testing to make sure it works in all circumstances, but for now, thanks for the help!

Well, unfortunately, it seems that fate is set on making me suffer, as it has happened again. I put the same schedule as before on another big train, however this time, the derailment has returned.

I think I finally cracked the code. I believe it had something to do with the max coupler gap. Once I adjusted it to the default of "0.08", the trains worked properly.
