I have a web site that is solely used for my downloadable content. Three days ago I uploaded to a particular folder several updated items, overwriting the ones that were there. The upload had no problems. The day after, having changed one item, I tried to upload again. The upload failed with the message above. The problem is still there.

Other folders on the site can be written to, just this one folder has the problem. All the site folders have full read/write permissions. It is almost as though the folder has be opened for writing and not closed.

Any suggestions?

Support

Does your site have a support system? Try to contact them. I always make a second page as backup to the first that is shown in the site's menu, is always a good idea so if a mistake happens I can save the second as the first as go again. Can you close this page to open another? That may work. Try Yola, they have a great support system. I can help ya get started.

I should have made it clearer, it is not a web site, it is a hosted site with no web presence at all. Public access is by links from someone elses web pages. The troublesome folder is one of several in the same folder under the root folder which are all behaving as they should.

There is no difficulty in reading/downloading from the folder as this is a passive action, anything requiring a change to the folder contents produces the error.
