The weather can certainly be changed by a script, however it's still world-wide as far as I can tell, there's no way to change the weather for just one baseboard or a group of baseboards.

Yeah, the weather is global, so whatever weather you see where you are, it's the same everywhere on your layout.

What you can do is control what the weather is when you drive to certain locations, which you can do with driver commands or rules that may exist, or more simply with the built-in Check Trackside and Weather rules set up to look for triggers on your layout.

Not quite: Long time ago, there was a Regional Weather rule. It was triggered by trigers as the train passed over, changing locally the weather!. it was almost perfect. So much that Auran decided to change things so now it does not work! Still if you use 04, it may work. All is the name of progress...!

Trainz weather has never been able to be 2 different states at once.
It is global, and has always been global.

The rule you are describing does what I mentioned above, but as I said, you don't need a specific rule to do this.

You simply use a bunch of triggers with the check trackside rule and the weather rule.

For those who don't know how to do this, here you go:

Check Trackside-> When train "player" "Enters" trigger "trigger1"->
.... Change weather-> to "Rainy"

You can set up as many of these as you want for different areas, and you can set them to run once or repeatedly.

But I was able to see snow at the top of my mountains and at the same time sun shine at the beaches. I think the KUID no was 2:121843:900033:2, and it only works with 2004. I made a ticket with Auran but they could not find a solution to use it in later versions of our game.

But it would all be done with smoke and mirrors.
A rule could be written to take into account which train you were with, and the location of that train, and using that data decide which weather it should be, but whatever weather you're looking at in one place applies to all other baseboards and areas.

It simply relies on the fact that you can't be 2 places at once to prove it wrong.

If you want snow at your mountains and sunshine on your beaches, then use the method that I mention above to detect triggers and change the weather accordingly.

Or, there are simple rules (and possibly a trigger that does it for you) on the DLS that do the same thing.
