We need an explaination of how Post SP1 consists work.

See the title. I've thrown up my hands on trying to figure it out when I made a consist in consist editor under the "Options" menu and can't find it in the Content Manager.

I've got a lot of homemade consists and it looks like they are all useless now.

If you made them "as always" then you did so in surveyor using the grab tool, true?

That's not where I mean. I mean the "Global Consists" in the Options menu.

In quickdrive I get 2 lists to choose from "Surveyor List" and "Main List" and neither has any of the consists I mean pre-SP1 in surveyor and that are still present in the Content Manager.

All the "built in" ones are there, including the blue comet and aerotrain consists (which are tagged as "built in" once installed, yellow background laptop icon) - but none of mine. Can't figure out how to get them into the lists. Can't find consists I make in the Global List in the Content Manager.

yes, because those are the only ones that will show in Content Manager.

That's not where I mean. I mean the "Global Consists" in the Options menu.

surveyor list should show the ones installed as an asset or created in surveyor. consists saved in the global consists rule are stored in globalmodule.txt. consists saved in the consist list in surveyor are saved as assets with your next available kuid.

surveyor list should show the ones installed as an asset or created in surveyor.

Now we're getting somewhere. "or created in surveyor" doesn't seem to apply in my install, only "the ones installed as an asset" (IE- the ones that "came with the game" and the ones for "Blue Comet" and "Aerotrain" show. The consists that *I* make in surveyor do NOT appear in the global consists "surveyor list".

Now just to clarify, there is "Main List" and "Surveyor List" within the "Global Consist Rule", and then there is the list that appears in the consists tab in surveyor.

* I have copied a consist from "Surveyor List" to "Main List" but before my action, the "Main List" was empty.

there should be a refresh button for the surveyor list that will update it to the latest.

you seem to be saying different things, at first i explained that creating in surveyor does show items in Content Manager, you said that was not what you wanted.

if you could perhaps be a little more clear on what you need...

That's why I made the table, I was finding it difficult to explain. I'll look for a refresh button tomorrow.

There is a known issue that new consists made in Surveyor are currently not showing in the QuickDrive "Surveyor" List. This will be addressed in one of the upcoming hotfixes.
Creating consists in your own list in Options > Global Consist Menu will allow consists from your newly created personal list to be selected through Quickdrive.
Adding newly saved consists directly to the tracks in Surveyor and then clicking on the "quickdrive icon" (the little blue man) will start your Driver Session with whatever trains you have added.

All true, and I thank you for letting me know that it's a known bug - I must have missed that in the chatter.

I have to point out tho the "directly to the tracks in surgeyor" and quickdrive, kinda defeats the purpose since you then have to SAVE the route either overwriting the original or saving a new version...

Hi Frogpipe.

If you Edit Session rather than Edit Route, you don't need to save a new route, just a new session. Also, using Layers you are able to create layers with different sets of trains.
