WC Shotz

A CN Herzog Ballast train sits quietly in the small yard here at Mosinee, as a BNSF coal train disturbs the ballast train, as it heads north on the CN Valley Sub to the Weston Power Plant

Now that is pretty cool....The one thats displayed at Stevens Point Wi :Y:

Will that be released ???

Soo Line 2713 is an H-21 class 4-6-2 steam locomotive that was built for the Wisconsin Central Railway in May 1911. The WC had fallen under the control of the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railway (“Soo Line”) in 1909, and the locomotive fleets of both railroads were operated in a single pool.
The 2713 was used to power the Soo Line and Wisconsin Central passenger trains in Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. It was retired in 1955, and since 1957 has been on display in Depot Park in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, United States.

AHA!

Thanks for the tip, I was wondering, I had assumed Soo leased it to WC at some point. Hard to tell with some of these "mergers", allegedly the UP "merged" with the C&NW, but where did all the C&NW equipment go? I lived in Chicago up until 2005, saw nothing but Union Pacific and Metra on the former C&NW Galena line after '95. :'(

Has "WISCONSIN CENTRAL" on one side of the cab, just "WC" on the other, whoever runs the place has been repainting assorted things over the last few years and I have no idea how accurate any of it is. Dunno if I can upload this particular Pacific skin or not, I got 473 lawyers trying to decipher the license at the moment. :confused: Probably be better to find a different model anyway, this one looks good but has the standard 69 inch drivers, 2713 looks like it has those midwestern "high steppin" 75 inch drivers the SOO and C&NW were so fond of. I currently have it rigged with the default "big steam" cabview since the cabview that comes with it don't respond to Raildriver.

Next project will be the caboose;

My youngest son and I are typical rabid railfans, we get a pizza at Little Ceasers and go to the 2713 exhibit for picnics. :hehe:
