Lots of action going on today in Stevens Point
3 trains in one.....First out today is the Local up to Wausau..Train LO17 and hes on the mainline, we also have a switcher flat switching the busy yard, and we also have the GBW train coming up into town that will switch out Consolidated Papers
With LO17 in the clear the mighty lil SW1500's shove back to the yard
With the switch crew and LO17 out of the way, the GBW gets a green to proceed over the diamond and into the mill
We then catch up to LO17 at Junction City, where he is taking the WYE to head off of the Superior Sub and onto the Valley Sub which will take him into Wausau
Heres a map of the area that I am doing and what it all covers

Today I was called for the CNE (CN Ballast Train Empties)
We board our train here at Junction City and on our train today we have 2 CN ES locos and 67 ballast cars, that will lead our train up to Mathy, to get a load of ballast....
We aboard our train with the 67 empties and begin to pull our train off the Superior Sub and onto the Valley Sub where it will take this train North up to Mathy
At Knowlton, the train crosses the Wisconsin River
Well today was something we should of never done....We went RR fanning in some pretty bad weather....Its around 3pm and the skies are dark as you can see....There has been some severe thunder storm warnings and some tornado warnings in the area...As you can see....Something might just happen here today.....We then took no time on fooling around out side and took some shots of some pretty cool action that rarely happens here with the ELS and the WC....The ELS is so RR unfriendly and today I dont think they even care if where there shooting them....They prolly think where the dumb ones out here shooting pix of them in this bad weather....Anyways....Onto the pix
Our first pic of the day was we are set up here right at the diamond of the ELS and the WC...As you can see the ELS is holding short of the diamond as a WC train stomps on over the diamond
A shot of the WC power on todays train
As you can see as the WC train heads over the diamond and heads right into the eye of the storm...The train crew and the storm look eye to eye on one another...
With the WC train just about clear of the diamond...The ELS train starts to ease its train up to the diamond
With the WC train long gone...The ELS crew gets the ok to head over the diamond and heads in a clear direction away from the storm
By the time we got home....We didnt get any tornadoes...But some did hit north of here...All we got was some hail and some big boomers from the sky oh and we lost power for about 3 hrs or so
We then heard off in the distance a horn we thought it was the CP so we just sat here for a little bit to see what it was....It got louder and louder so we knew it had to be a "Wizzer" train coming up....Sure enuff here comes a WSOR train up from Janesville heading for Slinger train symbol JH
To our surprise we see the WSOR 25th year loco
We raced it to the other side of town where it was starting to pick up speed as it leaves town
Another shot of the helper unit
At Duplainville now where the WC crosses the CP Minnesota to Chicago mainline we see the WSOR just about to stomp over the diamond...Running on WC rails they can go a lot faster rather on there home rails they have to go slow
We then let it go on with its journey and the last train we heard on the scanner was a train coming from Fond du Lac heading for Milwaukee
