WC Shotz

Arrived in Stevens Point today to take train LO17 up to Wausau....Our consist today had 3 of the ex-BN units aka "Green Gators" to lead our train north today

We get on our way past the Stevens Point depot, where this building is the main headquarters for the WC as it also holds the WC dispatching for the system

Coming over the GBW line just north of town, we start to notch it out to lift our train up out of the river valley

Skirting along Rocky Run siding we are doing about track speed

Slowing up at JO, we take the NE leg of the WYE up onto the Valley Sub and off of the Superior Sub, our 3 SD45's really work hard to get this long train moving again

Coming into Mosinee, we pass my place

And down the street by my parents farm

We then pass along side the big Weston 3 power plant, this plant sees coal trains from the UP all the time

We then head down along side old business hwy 51 past one of WC's biggest online customers here at Rothschild we have the Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill

We duck under highway 29 and start to slow for the yard limits coming up

Pulling our train up into the Wausau yard, I hop off the train and a new crew will hop on this train and switch out the blocks of cars that stay in town and also pick up cars that will be taken north of here on train LO11 up to Prentice

Our close up shot of our lead unit

My train to take back to Stevens Point will be train LO18 as soon as LO12 arrives from Prentice

In this classic Wisconsin scene north of Lomira, near the Quad Graphics Plant, we catch 2 ubiquitous WC SD45s and a SOO Line GP30 on a southbound loaded CSX coke train, on the way to Chicago on July 13, 1998

awesome shots, great pics, what Specs you running on your computer. the detail even at distance looks great.

WC train T005 (Stevens Point - Withrow, MN) gets on its way past the WC depot......

Didn't get a good shot, had to get out of the car and run up to the fence quick.....:hehe:

Train 17 (Stevens Point to Wausau) gets on its way past the Stevens Point depot, as the 3 WC ubiquitous SD45's lug its train west on the Superior Sub to Junction City and then north onto the Valley Sub up to Wausau

Today we caught some MOW work along the Superior Sub

We first start out in Stevens Point where we see the crew head west past the depot

Tucked away here at Rocky Siding to wait for T176

We then head up to Junction City to see train T176 come on thru

Passing the MOW crew here at Rocky Run

Slowing to come into the yard, he hops off the main and onto track 2 cause of the waiting NB at the other end of the yard

Shot of some engines at the round house

An Ore train, creeping thru the yard here at Stevens Point...Where it will stop here at the yard office to get a new crew to take it onto Fond du Lac
