WC Shotz

Got word today that a surprise was coming up on LO17 the Strevens Point to Wausau train....So away we went to the Wausau yard to await for its arrival

As soon as we got there, she was already sitting in the yard on train LO11 getting ready to pull

This sure was something ya dont see every day, a WSOR unit way up here

The chase was on

Caught him here passing the Wausau Depot

Passing the Woodchucks Stadium

Clipping along Gilbert Park as he starts to notch it out to lift its train up out of the Wisconsin River Valley

Up in Bradley now we catch him hopping off the Valley Sub and onto the Bradley Sub

Lots of power up in Prentice today as we see the CN train from Ladysmith to Rhinelander LO910, and the WC F45's the Ashland turn train LO15 and the WSOR now on the point as train LO12 back to Wausau

Train 12 is heading out of the Prentice yard and onto the WYE track north of town to grab its train

With its train together it starts its trip back to Wausau

Here we catch train 12 as it comes back into Wausau passing Gilbert Park

As it makes the curve into Wausau, TO12 passes the YL sign

Coming over Scott St in town

Coming thru the old Wausau yard

As TO12 makes it into the yard...The train is spotted in the yard and the power is backed up to the yard office where the WC 2500 will switch out the cars and make up train 18 the Wausau to Stevens Point where the WSOR unit will head back towards home rails

Well thats all she wrote for the day.....Till next time

WOT I think but not 100% sure. It could be Digital Roundhouse... Not sure I'm digging the "weathering" job...

WOT Units now come with new Weathering On/Off Options...
I wish that was true, i just bought the AC6000 two weeks ago and it DOES NOT have that option(just checked the website to see if it has been updated, it hasnt:( ) .

I think WOT's models are Fantastic, but when you put them next to Jointedrails, RRmods, and the like, WOT's engines kinda stick out, weathering would really help. ;)

WCL, Great thread!:D , ALWAYS GLAD to see stuff from fellow "Wisconsinites" ;) .

Here is a couple shots i done for you, a WC blows by feilds of corn & beans just outside of Monroe at the neck breaking speed of 10-15mph:hehe: ...well, thats the way it would have been, i took these shots on my UP route(hence the cement ties) , but in reality at the time WC was in this area the Milwaukee Road never took good care of the tracks in spots through here, yard limit speed was what the WC ran on in many spots around this area.

WSOR now runs this route and they have totally done wonders as far as upgrades goes on the old Milwaukee Road lines around here, VIVA James Gardner!:D (owner of WSOR)
