Today was a very nice day to head out and do some RR fanning....Not much that goes on in this town...But we did catch one train....The train that runs up to Prentice.....

Our first shot of the day is we catch him passing the Wausau depot

Next shot we catch him passing the yard limit sign at the north end of town

Next shot is here at Gilbert Park......Looks like some others are enjoying the nice weather as well.....The trains that go north bound out of town really put on a good show...They have to lift their tonnage up out of the river valley so by the time they usually get to this point, they are already on run 6 taking on the hill....Few miles down the line, the train will notch it back down after reaching Brokaw

Here he is in run 8....Clipping at a good speed to get over the hill

Last shot of the day we catch him at Brokaw where he is already at track speed

All for now.....Till next time

Setting the Scene:
After a brief switching job, Wisconsin Central General Purpose units carry their allotted Hi-Cubes as a way-freight to the nearby classification yard a few more miles down the road. Seen here, our train is throttling up for the increased speed zone coming up has the yard is soon going to converge to a 2-track mainline after this grade crossing.

Nice shot Josh!

The 0600 Wausau Switch is seen here at quarter after 7 taking a few hoppers over to the 3M plant on the west side of town.

Now where did they come from... :o:p
Need a switcher now to get them back out :p

Tom :)

Beautiful hoppers there 007007. I really want to throw cement in them, lol.

Anyway, on the previous page, those were WCL SD45s right? Are they payware, because I have been looking for a good quality SD45 to replace the lo poly one that I have been using.

By the way, great shots everyone.
