Iam learning to use surveryor and having lots of fun Icant seem to beable to put water in the top of a volcano or in any lake i make on a hill . Can anyone help?
Try raising the elevation of the water which you do in the top tool pallette in Surveyor. First measure the elevation of the crater and then adjust the water elevation accordingly.

Don't because it adjust all water on the map. The best way is to drop a road over it and make both ends the desired height. Write down the values of the road spline height then enter the value into the paste water height.

I can set water to any elevation I want anywhere on a map. In fact I'm doing it on a route I'm working on now. For example this route has a rail line running through a canyon which has a river. The river has dam's all along it, so I set the water to one elevation above the dam and another elevation below it. The dam hides the transition. Try it out and see if it works for you.
