Have no idea what this is and have never seen it before. A box appears in the top right corner while driving. In the box, there appears to be a rocker switch, a button that you can push, and a black circle with a red X in the middle of it. What is this, why did it appear, and why have I never seen this before? How do I keep it from coming back?

AWS is a UK safety system. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_Warning_System It's implementation in Trainz can be removed by going into the Edit Session and then delete the AWS rule.

If I remember correctly, adding the AWS rule and then going into it and setting it to passive removes the sunflower but I'm not at my PC at the moment so can't check. There is a way to hide it though.

It's AWS, causes by locos that have that function. What loco are you driving? What route are you using? Is it an actual session or just a quickdrive session? As my post above, you'll need to add the session rule and then set it as passive to remove it.

OK....new twist on this thing. I switched a few locos to American....still same problem. However, since this is a route that I am still building (adding trees, animals, etc.), I found this out: If I save the route, exit the game, and then go back in, that box stays off....not seen. However, as soon as I stop driving and go into Surveyor 1 or 2 and then go back to driving, the AWS box comes right back. Save and exit and go back in, no AWS box until I go into one of the editors again. Weird. Any ideas now?

Stagecoach......there are NO signals used on this route...none. I build routes quite differently from most of you: I am reliving my younger days (50 years ago) when I had 6 trains running at one time on a home layout......about 140 square feet on 3 levels. All I want to do is watch scenery and other trains go by.
