Tonight, the Z class steam locos were loaded on 4 QB well wagons, and transported from the ZR workshops at Wadalbavale, to Wattle creek where the well wagons had their broad gauge bogies exchanged for standard gauge bogies. I got 3 pics of the train, one at the ZR workshops,
one in Wadalbavale station, and one of the SG train waiting for the clear to depart Wattle Creek.
S302 at the head of the delivery train.
S302 with the delivery train waits for the clear in Wadalbavale station yard.
A 48 class sits at the end of the the signal and catch points at the north end of Wattle Creek yard. The track is dual gauge up till about 5 metres behind the train, allowing the bogies exchange to occur.
These will hopefully arrive at the DLS tomorrow
