vista keeps crashing

i bought a new 1000.00 dollar computer just to run trainz on it has 8 gig memory 2.6 prossesor 1.6 gig nvidia video card it started shuting down when i added more track and industries to a trainz setup that comes with the program my old computer is a 3.0 prosses 2 gig ram 512 video card it does not shut down but the ground populates slow and the frame rate is awful

the new vista ground populates slow too please help im giong to take that new computer back in a minute mike

First, it's probably not related directly to Vista. Second, Trainz is a very demanding program and may be a bit daunting to get your settings working just right. Try this first:

Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Install them as instructed & restart. Next, try changing the graphics options in Trainz from OpenGL to DirectX, or vice versa.

Try these two things first & report back. Be patient.

Maybe try doing a DxDiag report. Start....run...type in DxDiag and press Enter.
