Trainz Newletter: "Railroad Lines
A fun and exciting game for all railroad fans. Use points to buy your locos and carriages, then complete passenger and freight objectives to earn more points. The goal is to complete your mission objectives within the time allowed."
Now just what the hell is goin on Auran! This is a simulator site for people that like to operate a railroad, not an arcade game! Anything for money I guess.

Auran is a company, money is what they have to have...

JRT
You will pay 20 dollars for a simple arcade game, yet complain about 6 dollars for a simulator asset that took someone months to make look good and work right. And auran would not have a game if not for the content creators that make these assets. Give me a break! An empty track is just that, without something on it, there is no "Game"! I think it's about time for auran to give back some ban to those that keep their company alive!

AC, did you bother to do some research. 2 mins research (including page load times) shows that Auran didn't actually make this game, they just happen to be the publisher for it in Aus. It is made by a company called Play Publishing.

Now not every one is against Auran trying to cover their own costs. Or against Auran trying to stay in business... Hence many people do buy products such as these. Same as not everyone wants an actual simulator, they just want to 'play trains'. They use it once, then throw it out.

That said, have you actually looked through the product lists? Auran doesn't publish ONLY Trainz. They publish many games. Some are rail related, many aren't. I really can't see why you would complain that Auran sells a game that just happens to have a train theme... It may not be a game that YOU enjoy, but the fact that it has sold, shows that some people do enjoy it. Therefor there isn't any reason for anyone to truly complain...

Sounds similar to RR Tycoon or Sid Meiers Railroads.

Auran could do nicely selling this as there's no sign of the title being listed on e-retail sites like Amazon (UK or US).

Coolin Down

Sorry Zec, just that I think ya'll should concentrate more on fixin the problems in Trainz, not branch into side shows. But I guess if you are just passing it on, this would be different. I'll cool my jets! Just that these forums are so full of threads about things not workin right that it's becoming no-fun to come to them anymore. So I guess I got alittle defensive, yost goot me Irish up abit!

A lot of that is because people can't be bothered to read the damn manual provided. :'(

Mind you, judging by the standard of spelling & the written language on these forums, I doubt many would be able to decipher (understand) what they were reading. :(

Boring?

Forums getting boring you say?
Too many complaints you say?

How about we ask for some forum games or something like that.
If you wondering "What's a forum game" right now check out this site called 'Conquer Club', go into forums then to 'Much Ado about nothing' and try and find forum games.
You'll get the idea of these instantly.

Got ya!

...spelling & language...
I see this also, but for my self, I have to keep a eye on my own fingers all the time as they often hit the wrong keys! So I for one cannot point a finger. Also, your spoken and written language is very different from that used in the US. It is often hard for me to understand what ya'll are sayin!:hehe: (See, we all got our slang too.)

Zec is correct. Auran has been doing this for years and it is a very good idea. They are just taking existing games that have never been released in the Australian and Far East markets and offering them for sale through their online store. It is low cost to them and I'll wager it brings a good return on the investment. I have probably spent more with Auran on these other games than I have on the Trainz products and I have every version of Trainz. So look at it this way, it helps to pay for the continuing development of Trainz.
