VALE WAZZA

Wazza was the one Trainzer I've met personally, it was at a road show in Newcastle a few years back. I'm very saddened to hear he was not well and has now passed away. Bye bye Waz

Awwww Wazzer, sad to hear you've left this mortal coil.

You leave me with fond memories of many train shows where we passed time together.

Always keen to try a new food (or beer!), a chuckling laugh, a booming voice (when required) and an endless patience with the young (and not so young).

Glad we had the chance to meet and share a beer occasionally while on the planet. Seeya Waz.

Condolences to Wazzers family and friends from me too.

Wazzer was one of the first respondees to my first ever forum post and helped me with his advice, humour, patience and encouragement!

Rest In Peace Matey

Chris

I never met nor talked to Wazza, however it is appropriate to offer my best to the family and friends.
I know how hard a death is, I've experienced one recently myself.

Though many will miss him here, earth is only the beginning in my belief, life itself is far better, after death.

Here is to Wazza, rest in peace sir,
Woody

Wazzer will be interned on Tuesday at 10am in Sydney for those who might want to pause and remember for a while.
I would like to suggest we keep the thread open for a few weeks, then arrange to print it out and pass on to his family, then have it locked and or removed.

My personal feeling is some kind of lasting memorial to this great ausssie trainzer should be organised like a trainz asset in his name.

He will be missed in the Australian Trainz community

Wazzer was a friend to many and a mate to all

I havent met Wazza personally,
but he was a great Trainz member and he will be missed.

Condolences from me. May you Rest in Peace -

Bearcat, many thanks for the information, I will be in the pub at that time ... just for Wazzer, and have a beer "with" him.

I do not think this thread should be closed or locked though, leave it open and then at some stage print it out for his family. At some time someone may like to know what happened :(.

Hopefully someone can come up with a memorial for him. I know we have one on the DLS that can be changed to show his name, but maybe something more personal would be better. His favorite Loco or something that no one has made yet.

Craig

My condolances to Wazzers family & friends.

I've only met him & spoke to him at the Sydney Model Train Shows. At the 2007 show he went out of his way to to make my Grandson (Brandon or big b's )visit there one he would remember for years.
He still talks about him & refers to him as "The Train Man".
I will also always remember him as the "Train man"

Dave

Final Departure

Wazzas final departure will be on Tuesday at 10.30 in Sydney, any one wishing the full details email me and i'll complete the details, the family extends the invitation to all Trainzers to attend.

Reading your posts certainly is good as this knocked me for 6, then weather to leave it open of locked we should think on that, re a model Craig id think a steam Tram with "Wazza" in the destination box wouldn't be far off the mark, but i'll be guided by others input.

Thanks again,
Regds,
Eric

R.I.P Wazzer.

This is indeed sad news, and it is a great lost to the Aussie Trainz community, let alone the whole Trainz community. I first met Wazzer from the first ever TOTR event at Liverpool in 2002.

A truly great Man, and mate.

I am a bit shocked at the moment.

Sincerely

Anthony

Thats what I was thinking me and Wazzer have both been chucking this one round for ages - AD602000 did do one for us a few years ago, I could never get the DLS to accept it, so I sort of gave up. I have got some great trailer meshes.

My Gmax skills have never been up to the standard that can now be achived but if anybody wants to pick this up and/or offer help to finish the project give me a shout. I can supply plans, textures and the like and even ad602000's power steam bogie is very usable. And/also ad602000 might still have his meshes.

Its rather funny why Wazzer and I were aways working on this on, Wazzer always wanted opening and closing doors on the steam motor and
I could never work it out or get it to work.

Also have art work for the rolling desto blinds

A fitting project to remeber the guy.

I rarely post nor read here but I cant beleave the big guy is gone, I met wazza a few years ago at a trainzer in sydney, ever since then we have been good mates, such an awesome guy, so full of knowleage and always wanting to give a hand to anyone in need. I remeber taking him down to wagga a few years back, and only earlyer this year taking him to a trainzer in town.

Top bloke
always will be remebered!
Stand clear doors closing!

My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. I met Wazzer many times and always enjoyed his warmth and humour. he loved showing trainz off to anyone at model shows, especially the kids, they loved it. I loved watching :)

RIP old mate.

What a shock!

I meet Wazza about 4 year ago and at many of the Sydney Trainzers meetings in the "dungeon", basement of UTS

He always made you feel very welcome. he was a great friend and a mate that I will miss.

Jeff

Wazzer,

You will be missed mate.

I had the privilege of meeting him quite a few times at trainz meets at UTS and working with him at Model train shows.

Regards,
Warren
