UTC Help

hiya
A little bit more information is needed to help you the specs of your machine esp your graphics card and a bit more about your trains setup ie does trainz itself work sounds like open gl problem but need to know more.

cheers bob

The game itself works. The specs for the computer are:
8 GB RAM
Running Windows Vista
These are all I can find, sorry.

edit-
Have TC3, TRS2004, TRS2006 Trainz Paint Shed and Trainz Driver installed on same computer.

With just that to go on it still sounds like open gl prob. see if you can find out your graphics card make it will be either nvidia or ati or onboard you can get info from control panel/ system/device manager .

hiya

Right first thing is to make sure your drivers for your graphics card are up to date as you are running vista its a sure fire bet they are out of date, cmp needs open gl to run this is poor on earlier drivers for ati but the newer drivers are much better so first of update your graphics card drivers and try cmp again.

Content Manager is not opening. Does anyone have any suggestions to get it working?
Hi you have TRS2006 and TC3 which both have content manage that work and you can edit and change things

Neither TRS2004 or UTC have content managers you can do anything with in fact I cant see why you would want to use them.

Most Trainz users use Trainz objects which is a far superior product however since you have TRS2004 you would not be able to use it for UTC as it auto finds the latest product to work with you have installed which in your case is TRS2004.
It does not work with TRS2006 or above

What exactly is TrainzDiag, and where can I find it?

TrainzDiag.exe is located in your TRAINZ 2006 bin folder. It diagnoses various computer systems and their ability to run TRAINZ. It will provide you with a report that you can print. Anything checked in red is a problem area. Green checks are O.K.
Why are you messing with UTC in the first place.

In TrainzDiag., the test passed. I got UTC and TRS2004 in Trainz Collection. UTC has a content manager option in the launcher. I am "messing" with UTC because I want some steam engines in it!
Edit- I also like the idea of selecting the consist in driver. I wish other Trainz versions had this feature.

Well as I told you earlier you cant use the content manager in UTC to do this all locos content are only installed into UTC when you download and install UTC content in the form of CDPs.
If you use the download helper these will be extracted for you if you downloaded the CDPs via FTP you need to double left click onto them to get them extracted into UTC.
You cant change or alter things with the built in UTC content manager

One other spanner to put in the works is that in UTC steam locomotive are treated by the game the same as diesel locomotives and are not all the realistic at all.

I also want to know if you can use UTC content manager to download and install assets, or is it like TRS2004's Edit Kuid. If its not like TRS 2004 edit Kuid, I just want to know how to get it to open.
