Member hermit23 asked me how to make custom displacements created in Paint Shop (or photoshop, etc) show up in TRS2009. Here was my reply:

The only way I have found to make a custom displacement show up in TRS2009, is to:

FIRST-- create your displacement (Paint Shop, Photoshop, etc.) ((see my tutorial: http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=28240&highlight=creating+displacements+photoshop ))

SECOND-- USING TRS2006, create a new map in the final size you want and place your displacement in this map. Save it.

THIRD-- Go into Content Manager (again TRS2006), find the map you just made, and "Save to CDP." Save it to your Desktop. Close Content Manager.

FORTH-- Open TRS2009 Content Manager. From the desktop, drag the map you just made in TRS2006 into TRS2009 Content Manager. Make sure it's committed. (You may have to do a SEARCH to find it.)

FIFTH-- Now go into TRS2009 Surveyor. You should have your custom displacement map in surveyor under "ROUTES."

If anyone has any problems making this work, let me know. I've found it works absolutely perfect for me.
