Sorry, that information is incorrect. The marquee tool will create a new baseboard if the selection area strays over empty space when it is used to set the ground height.

Then it is working as expected.

You just stated setting marquee height won't create new baseboards. Painting within marquee will. I used the set marquee to ground height and new baseboards were created. So that means it's not working as expected.

I just tested and confirmed it.

• Painting with the brush height tool over an empty space will not create a new baseboard.
• Painting with the brush height tool within a marquee selection area over empty space will not create a new baseboard.
• Opening the Context Menu of a marquee selection area that is over empty space and selecting the Set Marquee to Brush Height option WILL create a new baseboard at the set brush height.
